1978 Cadillac Eldorado Biarritz

This was the last year for the big Cadillac Eldorado, and this one is a Biarritz, which represented the top of the line in Eldorado. The Biarritz received a premium interior along with an exterior with brushed stainless accent moldings and super thick padded half roof. If you ever wanted the sensation of riding in a cloud, this was it. The Biarritz leather seating, one of the plushest seating ever produced, along with of the smoothest suspensions ever produced, will give you that exact feeling. That super long hood, reminiscence of an era gone by, was considered the modern age Duesenbergs, has now joined the ranks of all those collectible vintage automobiles.

This example in Colonial Yellow with matching yellow interior has to be the proverbial, cream puff of automobiles. With less than 12k original miles and pampered all of its life in a temperature controlled environment. Front wheel drive with the biggest available Cadillac engine for the model year, the 425 ci 4 bbl. torque maker. The nearly 19′ of luxury driving down the road commanded attention, as you just never see one in this pristine condition. This is the exact car that was used in a book of Cadillac’s, representing the Eldorado line of 1978, as you will see in the photos I have included. Unfortunately, I no longer own this beauty, as I sold it to a collector in Austria, who is currently enjoying showing off this American Icon of luxury.

Few cars over the years have been as luxurious, as quiet, as comforting, and as beautiful as the Eldorado Custom Biarritz Classic. If you were seeking distinction, this was your car, and you were noticed. Enjoying every mile behind the wheel, knowing that you were commanding one of the final full-sized luxury cars built by America’s luxury leader, Cadillac.
